Dr Lee Hong Huei is a doctor by training. He pursued his interest in healthcare administration very early in his career and spent several years in Ministry of Health Headquarters honing his experience in healthcare policy and regulation.
He joined the private sector in 2000 and spent the next 18 years helming various portfolios in one of the largest integrated healthcare service provider in the region. These included Chief Executive positions across the entire spectrum of healthcare (Primary Care Network, Third Party Administration, Insurance, Hospitals, Laboratories,Training & Education). His most notable achievement was the construction and commissioning of a leading hospital in Singapore – a hospital that was conceptualised, designed and built according to Lean Management and Design Thinking principles. His most recent portfolio was Head of Southeast Asia of an integrated healthcare company with a global presence. He left full-time employment in Feb 2018 to pursue his personal interests in creating the next generation infrastructure for trusted healthcare data exchange to improve Accessibility, Affordability and Accountability in healthcare.
